The 2018 Mount Avoca Estate Chardonnay offers clean full-bodied interweaving flavours of poached pear, melon and kaffir lime integrated with a textural vanilla barrel toast dimension and finishing with a good length of tangy dried orange peel.
All the Mount Avoca Estate wines come from grapes grown on the Estate. This means they ensure that 100% of all the grapes used are organic. All the organic wines are effectively certified twice. The vineyard goes through a rigorous audit every year – every input and action needs to be audited and satisfy stringent criteria. The winemaking then receives a separate certification ensuring that the winemaking process is also completely organic. Wine that carries the ACO certification must be made from 100% organic grapes – fully certified and audited as well as being fully organic in every aspect of winemaking.
As part of the winemaking process they guarantee that no animal products are used in their organic wines.
