Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Wine Subscription?

A Wine Subscription is a subscription to receive a mixed case of wine from the available Wine Subscription options on a quarterly basis delivered to your nominated delivery address.

How does the Loyalty Bonus work*?

To be eligible for the Loyalty Bonus you need to retain your subscription for four consecutive orders of the same case. The Loyalty Bonus is dependent on the case you have selected. If you do a change of mind return of the case, you will lose any points earned and the ability to earn the Loyalty Bonus.

Can I swap to another Wine Subscription?

Yes you can, however by doing so you will lose your ability to earn your Loyalty Bonus as you would not have completed the four consecutive orders. Your Loyalty Bonus eligibility would restart and this swap would be your first case in completing the four consecutive orders.

How can I pay for a Wine Subscription?

You can purchase a Wine Subscription by credit card, by using Qantas Points or Points Plus Pay. All subsequent payments will be automatically debited according to the method of payment of the first order of your Wine Subscription, unless you change this in your account. If you use a voucher on your first purchase your subsequent orders will be the full amount of the subscription in the same proportion as your first payment.

Will I earn Qantas Points if I purchase a Wine Subscription?

Yes, you will receive Qantas Points on every payment that is processed for your Wine Subscription when paying with your credit card or on the cash portion of your purchase when using Points Plus Pay. Because you will receive Premium Membership with your Wine Subscription, you will earn 3 points per dollar spent for your Wine Subscription payments from your first order, in addition to any extra or bonus points advertised at the time each payment is processed.

When will my first payment for a Wine Subscription be processed?

Your first payment for a Wine Subscription will be processed at the time of your first purchase. Subsequent payments will be processed automatically 24 hours prior to each cycle. Cycles are every three months (billing & fulfilment dates for quarterly packs: 1 February, 1 May, 1 August, 1 November).

When will my Wine Subscription cases be delivered?

Based on the Wine plan cycle (1 Feb, 1 May, 1 August, 1 November), each case will be shipped within two business days of your payment being processed for that case. Delivery times are subject to our normal delivery terms which can be found here.

Can I change the frequency that my Wine Subscription cases are delivered?

Qantas Wine currently only offers quarterly Wine Subscriptions that are timed to be delivered during quarter of the year (i.e. every 3 months: February, May, August, November).

What if my delivery address or credit card details change?

 It is important to keep your information up to date so that you do not miss out on any deliveries. Your quarterly shipments will be posted to the default address that is saved in your Qantas Wine account at the time of processing your payment. Please note, any updates you make to your Qantas Frequent Flyer profile will not automatically be applied to your Qantas Wine profile. You must update both profiles. We will use the default credit card saved in your Qantas Wine profile for payment processing with Qantas Wine. If you need to update your credit card or delivery address details please contact our Customer Care Team on 1800 505 004 from 8am to 7pm Monday to Saturday (AEST/AEDT).

How can I pause or cancel my Wine Subscription?

You can pause or cancel your Wine Subscription as you wish, provided you do so before we ship your next order e.g before 27th January, 27th April, 27th July or 27th October. To pause or cancel your Wine Subscription, you need to speak to a Customer Care representative on 1800 505 004 from 8am to 7pm Monday to Saturday (AEST/AEDT). Pausing your Wine Subscription allows you to skip deliveries. No payments will be debited from your nominated credit card for as long as your Wine Subscription is paused. When you are ready to reactivate your Wine Subscription, you need to speak to a Customer Care representative on 1800 505 004 from 8am to 7pm Monday to Saturday (AEST/AEDT). Your first payment and delivery following reactivation will be processed straight away and you will receive the most recent case of wine for your selected Wine Subscription. Your payments and deliveries will then be scheduled with our standard seasonal cycle. Cancelling your Wine Subscription cancels your ongoing subscription, but will not cancel a Wine Subscription case from being delivered if we have already processed the shipment of this case in accordance with your Wine Subscription.

If I purchase my first Wine Subscription with a promotion or a voucher, does this promotion or discount continue for subsequent sends?

No - if you purchase a Wine Subscription with a promotion or a voucher when your next case is delivered you will pay the advertised price for the subscription as per the Wine Subscription page. The exception to this is Points Club Plus members. They will retain their 10% discount for as long as they are Points Club Plus members.

 Will I lose my Loyalty Bonus if I pause or cancel my Wine Subscription?

If you pause, cancel or change your Wine Subscription product you will lose your Loyalty Bonus.

What happens if my Wine Subscription is damaged or faulty upon delivery?

Qantas will provide you with return shipping free of charge; and will provide you with the option of either a full refund of the purchase price (including any delivery charges that were paid on the order) or a like-for-like replacement of the Product, where available. If you request a full refund you will lose the Loyalty Bonus. If the product is replaced you will still be eligible for the Loyalty Bonus.

What does a suspended Wine Subscription mean?

This means that we were unsuccessful in debiting the relevant payment for your Wine Subscription order from your credit card. Please give our Customer Care team a call on 1800 505 004 from 8am to 7pm Monday to Saturday (AEST/AEDT), and they can update your credit card details for your Wine Subscription and process the payment again.
