SKU: TAHMUSMAR15
One of the worlds rarest grape varieties, with its origins in the Northern Rhone and Hermitage regions of France, Tahbilks history with Marsanne can be traced back to the 1860s when White Hermitage cuttings were sourced from St Huberts Vineyard in Victorias Yarra Valley. The grape in fact was Marsanne and although none of these original plantings have survived, the Estate has the worlds largest single holding of the varietal and produces Marsanne from vines established in 1927, which are amongst the oldest in the world.

”Unoaked, crushed and destemmed. Tank fermented with cultured yeast. Just look at that straw-yellow colour! So youthful and just 6 years old! This is marsanne at its best, on the long road to a glorious future. It just gets better and better with each year, all without a skerrick of oak. Honeysuckle, buttered toast, jasmine and pear skin scents envelope the senses. The acidity tastes young and bright, belying the wine's age. What value lies here.
