Delamotte, sister house to the mythical Champagne Salon, was founded in 1760 and is one of the five oldest champagne houses. The pursuit of quality drives all decisions in the vineyard and winery. The winemakers use only chardonnay and pinot noir from Grand Cru villages, and only first pressing juice is included. The various cuves are allowed extended time ageing on lees before disgorgement, and dosage is kept to a minimum. The resulting wines are supremely elegant - the perfect aperitif style - while displaying the complexity and finesse that are the hallmarks of the finest champagne.
