”From a northeast-facing vineyard at 230m elevation in Seville, planted in the mid-1990s. Whole-bunch pressed and barrel fermented in mainly 500L puncheons (20–30% new). Multidimensional with aromas of stone fruits, lightly grilled almonds and a little spice. On the palate, this pure fruited, polished and finely tuned wine is ready to drink a little earlier than the equally good ’22 George's Vineyard Chardonnay, and I can think of worse exercises than comparing these well-priced and subtly different Upper Yarra single-vineyard wines over the years.”
