Rob and Tom Lightfoot own what is quite frankly an amazing spot of remote terroir which ironically is also the reason it’s somewhat of a quiet achiever in a business full of expensive and showcase Pinot Noirs. Situated approximately 4 hours drive east of Melbourne outside a town called Bairnsdale it’s literally the last stop before you hit the beautiful National Park and then on to the border with NSW. Handpicked, part whole bunch fermented Pinot Noir that sees a touch of new French oak but for the most part sits on gross lees for the full aging period in aged barriques from some of the best French coopers in the business.
