An independent family business founded in 1620 with Château de Pennautier - located just outside the World Heritage site of the medieval Carcassonne castle - the historic seat of the Lorgeril family. Ten generations later, Nicolas and Miren de Lorgeril have extended the family holdings to 870 acres of vineyards covering six wine estates spread all over the Languedoc-Roussillon area in the Mediterranean part of southern France. All of the vineyard sites are carefully selected from hillside plots, where the altitude gives rise to fresh, elegant, balanced wines.
