The Rose & Thorns portfolio of wines is named after the founding partners of Byron & Harold – three thorny fellows of good humour and strong vinous heritage and Rose, our loquacious and good-natured foil who keeps us all focused on producing stunning wines in the glass. Wine growing and wine making are difficult pursuits even in the best seasons and we aim to honour the wonder of Great Southern in Western Australia by creating wines with a sense of flavour reflective of the purity of our surrounds. The Great Southern features dramatic forested cliffs pounded by the wild Southern Ocean intermingled with cosy coves and calm bays. Rolling pastoral landscapes and majestic mountain ranges are home to a rich variety of picturesque vineyards in which fine wines are carefully crafted.
