The sake name 'Omachi' comes from a special rice called 'Omachi'. It is a large grain with a large core, and it is regarded as one of the best sake rice. Omachi rice is the 'grandparent' of over 90% of the sake rice in Japan including Yamadanishiki and Dewasansan. Omachi rice produces very mild sake with gentle character with full flavour and grain character.
