The village of Bethany was the first settlement in the Barossa Valley, established in 1842. The first vines on Bethany Estate were planted in 1852, the beginning of a passion and tradition that continues on today within the Schrapel family, six generations later. First Village reflects the folkloric style of Bethany’s German heritage, and depicts scenes telling the story of the establishment of the village. Bring a bottle to the next family dinner and draw out some stories from your heritage.
A medium bodied shiraz that is ready to be enjoyed straight away. JACK Shiraz presents strong aromatic notes of red cherries, cloves, pepper & cinnamon. The brightness & red-fruit acidity allow the just ripe fruit to speak to the cool-climate. Each named after the founder’s grandchildren – this signature family series by Ross Hill Wines is a genuine symbol of Australian family heritage and quality.
With a backbone drawn from estate owned, dry grown vineyards located throughout the Watervale and Penwortham we combine excellent viticultural practice and clever, intuitive winemaking with careful oak selection to create a wine that will continue to evolve over the next 8-10 years.
This delicious shiraz is dark and focused, displaying concentrated notes of dark cherry, plum and red berry. With plum and magnolia on the mid palate, this sleek and layered wine has plush tannins and excellent depth of character. Perfectly aged shiraz for the Coonawarra, picked in two small batches a week apart.
Estate grown from the spectacular hillside vineyard in the Ferguson Valley, this wine is delicious and textural. Blueberry, perfumed berries and a vanilla background provide a powerful and striking aromatic wine. Cellaring for up to 10 years.
The Bec Hardy brand is deeply connected to the Tipsy Hill Estate gardens, which contain a wide collection of flora and fauna, many of which inspired the design of the Garden Series labels. The design includes grevillea, silver princess, tipsy imperial concubine rose, eastern spinebill and the distinctive red browed finch. Much like the gardens, the wines themselves also offer generous aromas, natural beauty and benefit from a balance of technique, great care and minimal intervention.
Picked from fruit form family vineyards over 35 years old
