The late Mrs Wigley was not the wife of Wirra Wirra founder Robert Strangways Wigley, but an adopted cat who was born at the neighbouring Petrucci property. Within days, her mum had settled her litter in our winery and from then on she became a permanent feature at Wirra Wirra. She lived exclusively off Cellar Door cheese and soaked up all the affection lavished on her by winery visitors.
