The Hakushu Distillery was founded half a century after Yamazaki. Keizo Saji, the second Master Blender, inherited his father’s quest to push the boundaries of what a Japanese whisky could be. He had searched all over Japan for high quality water that would produce the most delicately aromatic whisky. After searching with tenacity to the headstreams of rivers and deep into rugged mountains, he found Hakushu. The Hakushu Distillery is one of the highest distilleries in the world, built amidst the deepest forests of Mt. Kaikomagatake in the Japanese Southern Alps. The majestic forest that surrounds the Hakushu Distillery shelters an abundance of plant varieties reflecting the many expressions of Japanese nature. The malt whiskies born here are simultaneously blessed with a very particular microclimate, verdant forests, and water offering a rare softness only made possible by filtration of rain and snow through thousand-year-old granite rocks.
 
 
Hakushu 12 Year Old is the heart of the brand. Green with herbal notes, it is distilled in direct-fire pot stills, then aged in small white oak casks for 12 years or longer. The result is a sweet, velvety smokiness, with the scents of green leaves and fruits. Yamazaki 12YO Single Malt Japanese Whisky 700ml

The Yamazaki Distillery is Japan’s first and oldest malt whisky distillery founded in 1923 by Suntory's founder Shinjiro Torii. Yamazaki is not only the soul place of Suntory Whisky but the birthplace of Japanese Whisky. Inspired by traditional Scottish whisky, it is said that Torii selected the land of Yamazaki at the foot of Mt. The Yamazaki Single Malt Japanese Whisky 12 Years Old is pure gold in color. The nose hints scents of peach, pineapple, grapefruit, clove, candied orange, vanilla, and Mizunara (Japanese Oak). On the palate is coconut, cranberry and butter. This whiskey has a beautiful finish of sweet ginger, and cinnamon.

Thanks to a mountain microclimate of luxurious forests and water filtrated by rain and snow through ages-old granite rock, malt whiskies born here are blessed a rare softness and purity. Hakushu Distiller’s Reserve is the introduction to the brand. Respecting Hakushu’s heritage and signature taste, we combine our lightly peated malt whiskies with aged American white oak cask malt whiskies to enhance Hakushu’s refreshing, crisp characteristics. Hakushu Distiller’s Reserve is a whisky that is smooth in its complex nuances and as vibrant as a fresh green leaf.

The Shinobu Blended Japanese Whisky 700ml

Niigata is known in Japan for its Three White treasures, i.e. snow, rice and sake, and a naturally blessed environment for pure water source. Made in Niigata, SHINOBU (meaning Forbearance in Japanese) Whisky is hand crafted by the creative master blender, Mr. Usami, by carefully selecting whisky from different distilleries which are first reserved in ex-sherry and ex-bourbon casks and then finished in precious Japanese Mizunara oak. The blended expression contains 50% malt and 50% grain. The result is a unique fusion of flavours across the palate, and nose, of butter, mint, grass, wood, sweet coconut, hints of Chinese incense, sandalwood, and vanilla.
