Tahbilk Cabernet Sauvignon 2020

Crafted with a commitment to traditional wine making values, fermentation takes place in original open vats over 155 years old, with maturation then in similarly aged large French oak prior to bottling. Smaller predominantly French oak barrels are also used, with the wine from these blended back during the final filtering and bottling.
Tahbilk Cabernet Sauvignon releases have shown consistently over time considerable richness and character and are considered by many experts to be the best Estate red for long-term cellarage.

Tahbilk Eric Stevens Purbrick Shiraz 2018

Purchased by Reginald Purbrick in 1925, his son Eric took over management of Tahbilk in 1931. Heading to winemaking for over 40 vintages before handing over to his grandson Alister in 1978, Eric was one of the early pioneers of varietal labelling in Australia and continued to be a strong influence in the direction of the estate until his passing in 1991. Perhaps his greatest contribution to Tahbilk was to create the "Special Bin" Shiraz in 1948 which was to be made, and continues to be made, from the best vats of a particular vintage. In 1952 a ‘Special Bin’ Cabernet Sauvignon was added to the range with both releases becoming known as ‘Reserve’ in 1985.  In recognition of his achievements, these "best of a vintage’ wines now carry his name and signature … Eric Stevens Purbrick.

Tahbilk Viognier 2024

Originating in Condrieu in France’s Northern Rhone Valley, Tahbilk’s first plantings of viognier were established in 1990. The inaugural vintage was released in 1996 to early critical acclaim with the Estate nominated by Australian Vignerons magazine as producing one of the ‘Benchmark Six’ Australian releases.  Tahbilk Viognier releases are considered to be best appreciated as youthful and exuberant wines when their distinguishing floral, stone fruit and spice characters are to the fore.
