Very unique - ‘Akai Sake’ translates to ‘red colour Sake’.
Only 120 bottles produced exclusively for Australian market. This was created as a kind of ‘Rose’ Sake, ready for the Australian summer. This Sake shows lots of cherry and red berries on nose, light to medium body, lively, fresh and clean on palate, ripe fresh fruit, good clean acidity with long dry finish. Well balanced with soft tannin and lots of Umami from the ancient rice used. The vivid red colour comes from the unpolished ancient rice.
Chilled Akai Sake looks beautiful in a wine glass and can be enjoyed with smallgoods like prosciutto, tuna salad, salmon carpaccio, pasta, Chinese dumplings or your favourite cheese. Kampai!
