The chardonnay grapes for Nannup Chardonnay Rolling Hills 2017 were machine harvested and chilled before pressing. The cold settled juice was then racked to French Oak barrels for fermentation. The barrels were lees stirred once a week until a balanced texture was achieved. After 10 months in barrels, the wine was blended, fined and filtered before bottling.
The results - vibrant, yet complex aromas of stonefruits, lemon sorbet and a hint of spiced vanillin oak and intense flavours of nectarine dominating the palate. Added complexities of toasted oak spice and creamy lees influences from stirring in the barrel. A delightfully crisp, fresh natural acid, which ensures a long and clean finish.
