“It has the smoothness of cream and the richness of blackberry pie/black currant, all set in a fresh-faced context. This is an easy Shiraz to argue in favour of plum and licorice, charcuterie and cedar wood, with both raspberry and five spice notes adding sweetness and savouriness respectively. Tannin isn’t overt but it’s fine grained and well placed. In the end it’s sweet, soft, and red licorice-like that shows through the strongest, which will no doubt please many.”
