The parcel is sourced from a single vineyard site in Vine Vale in the heart of the Barossa Valley. The vines are 20 years old on their own rootstock, with a westerly aspect of sandy loam soil. The trellis is a vertical shoot position pruned to rod & spur. Yield is 6 tonnes / hectare with the aim of producing premium grade fruit. It's gorgeously fruited and immediately appealing, showing dark fruit richness with spicy oak, olive, clove and vanilla nuances, leading to a concentrated palate delivering excellent weight and depth. It's opulent yet refined and structured with an impressively long velvety finish.
