From 1846 to the early 1930’s, the old Bluestone Quarry at Bethany was operated by the Schrapel family, with the bluestone hewn there used by early pioneers of the town to build their homes. Today, Bethany’s winery and cellars are set within the quarry, encircled by an integral part of Barossa history.
