Palate
A plush and full entry that continues with unfurling layers of tannin. The tannins are full and long giving great persistence and presence. The palate is full bodied but elegant with dark floral notes, berries, fresh tobacco and a subtle ferrous note.

Although this Shiraz sings alongside most rich, red meat dishes, it really needs no accompaniment. Perhaps just a wedge of aged cheddar.
”A centenarian site, cropped low. Two years in 25% new French wood before a couple of years of bottle ageing, pre-release. A nice vintage. Dense. Palate staining, but nothing jammy or obtuse. The oak, unresolved. A big wine, to be sure. Clove, licorice strap, mace and a core of gruntish black- and blue-fruit aspersions, tightly furled within the structural carapace. This, too, needs time. Will blossom for those inclined.”
