Dominique Portet was established following 10 consecutive generations of winemaking in the Portet family, stretching back to the 18th century. A blend of Cabernet (86%), Merlot (6%), Petit Verdot (2%) all hand picked, they’re de-stemmed and gently crushed before fermentation. The wine stays on its skins for 2 weeks which gives it its deep colour and tannins extracted. It then sees 12 months in French Oak, 30% new. Bright red fruits, red currant, plum, bay leaf and cedar.
