Eisenstone Wines celebrate the many recognised sub regions that vary in climate and soil type in the Barossa Valley that bring out subtle differences in the Shiraz variety. Winemaker Stephen Cook creates each wine in the same method, letting the vineyards speak for themselves. The Mattcheoss vineyard lies to the western side of Greenock Creek in deep red soils that slop gently to the East. The parcel of grapes used for the single vineyard wine are sourced from 40+ year old Shiraz vines that produce densely coloured and intensely flavoured wines the region is famous for.
