The fruit for this wine is grown in Woodside in the Adelaide Hills. This vineyard is slightly warmer and drier than our Western Branch Vineyard. This allows the fruit to fully ripen, resulting in a wine that is generous in fruit flavours with balanced tannins. The Merchant doesn't have the green characteristics that are sometimes associated with cool climate cabernet.
