The palate is velvet with tannin just in the background providing essential support and structure to the rich and deep fruit flavours. A long acid finish that stretches this tightly coiled red wine out. Here is the quintessential Barossa Valley shiraz.

A textural experience: savoury and dry, yet still with the Barossa’s richness, depth and succulence. Hence a wonderful counter-play of the brooding and the bright. There’s length and line drawn out by neat acidity, and then super-fine tannins that keep the wine aloft and alive. Plenty of plum and earth flavours that slowly uncoil in your glass over a proper dinner.
