In 1949 Armand Goutorbe, son of Victor Goutorbe, on his return from the Second World War, decided to produce and sell Champagne. Armand was given a Jeep to enable him to tend his Champagne vineyards so the neighbours dubbed it Jeeper Champagne!
Nowadays the house of Jeeper has gained an international reputation for producing fine Champagnes. With its stand-out bottle-shape (designed to reduce oxidation) and its distinct taste, it stands out from the field. Based near Reims, Jeeper has 35 hectares of its own vineyards and works with growers from another 180 hectares. 10% of the vineyards are Premier Cru and 10% Grand Cru.
Champagne Jeeper has just received the sustainable vine-growing and High Environmental Value (HEV) certificates. A brilliant pale pink colour. Fruity and floral aromas of peony and rose. Fine and fruity, supple and fresh with delicate red fruit notes of a striking strawberry flavour which develops into black cherry. Based on Blanc de Blancs and blended with red wine, the Champagne Jeeper Brut Grand Ros is rich, subtly persistent and extremely refined.
