Kinglake single malt is made in amongst the bush, the weather and even the wildlife. Like the ferments, the distillery doors are always open and local pollens and yeasts work on the whisky wash brewed onsite. The water is taken, unfiltered, straight from a clear mountain spring rising on-site.
‘The natural environment is integral to the whisky and we believe in protecting it. As well as donating a third of the distillery property for reforestation, we are the first (and currently the only) carbon neutral whisky made in Australia.’
