The William Formby Shiraz is sourced from five exceptional blocks within the single vineyard. Each parcel is individually managed in the winery and kept separate until final blend. Upon reaching the winery it received a 12-15 day maceration with minimal racking and handling. This is partly due to the uniquely designed gravity 'lift' tank in the winery, ensuring a soft winemaking style to the wine. Maturation was in French oak puncheons and seasoned French and American barriques for 18 months.

A powerhouse wine that is both elegant and complex with flavours of ripe plums, blackcurrant and a touch of spice on the midpalate. A beautifully structured wine with hints of clove and anise leading into fine but firm tannins and long and persistent finish.
