This is vibrant McLaren Vale shiraz at its best. The Aroona vineyard is located in the foothills of the Willunga range. The soils are a stony loam and contain the remnants of the mountains that were once as high as the Himalayas! The vines range in age from 99 to 25 years old. The vineyard typically produces aromatic wines with fine tannin and a full yet soft palate.

White Label Shiraz Cabernet 2022

Each year the blend of shiraz and cabernet sauvignon is assessed based on the fruit when it arrives in the winery. The 2021 vintage is a blend of 80% Shiraz and 20% cabernet sauvignon. The fruit was harvested in the cool of the early morning to retain all the natural acidity. A portion of the cabernet sauvignon was aged in seasoned French oak barriques while a portion of the shiraz was seasoned in French and American hogsheads and barriques each for around 12-13 months. Minimal winemaking intervention with the use of a uniquely designed gravity 'lift' tank.
