A blend of quality South Australian fruit, we like to source different parcels of Merlot and blend them to give a fresh and vibrant representation of our favourite variety!
Medium red in colour with a bright ruby hue. The nose is lifted and perfumed with intense raspberry and cherry fruits with subtle notes reminiscent of a freshly opened bag of lollies. The palate is light and fresh with soft, round medium weight tannins. The flavours are raspberry and cherry fruits with a touch of chocolate.
The Lange family is a fifth-generation farming family of Western Australia. Connecting Bridgetown and Mount Barker, the T.S.R. travels through the Lange’s property to make use of two major watering holes along the way – vital to the welfare of the animals and their drovers who were making the long journey. Enjoy this wine after a long day at work, and you’ll find it just as welcoming and refreshing as the drovers.
This is everything you'd want in a full-bodied shiraz. Rich, dark and dense, the Hyland features notes of brooding dark fruits that give way to star anise, leather and chocolate, ably supported by French oak. It's structured, intensely flavoured and ready to be drunk now, preferably with a hearty meal of osso bucco.
The family’s forefathers were pioneers who immigrated from England to the Ferguson Valley over 140 years ago. They were issued with a ‘brand’ to earmark and identify their livestock. This brand was ‘QO5’ and this has become a unique symbol of the family’s heritage and quality. It also has become a talisman of the family’s insight and foresight to cultivate their deep knowledge of the land into the growing and crafting of wine. The family pride of five generations, the QO5 wines display the excitement and diversity of alternative varieties of wines and fortify their devotion to the Geographe wine region and the Ferguson Valley.
The 2021 Miette Shiraz is a hand made wine sourced from old vine Barossa Valley Shiraz .
Hiding under the Mourvédre alias, Mataro has too often been relegated to the rank of a ‘blends only’ varietal. The time for a Resurrection is now. Driven by the new generation of Barossa winemakers, Mataro is once again taking its place as a single varietal of regional significance. Having utilized Mataro for over a decade as a great blending varietal, we have come to appreciate it in its own right. A great food wine with blue fruits, spicy characters and subtle earthiness. This complex wine takes its rightful place as a single varietal of note.
The Meta Shiraz fruit is carefully selected from a few vineyards with rocky or hard growing soils. This gives the fruit (and therefore the wine) a brighter, blue fruited and more tightly tannic style.
This wine is dedicated to a forefather of the Salomon family who had established St. Ignatius College in the Adelaide suburb of Norwood in 1870. The grapes ripen on the Fleurieu Peninsula, home to small historic villages that dot the region’s rolling hills. The midday heat is balanced by cool afternoon winds rolling off the nearby Southern Ocean. The vineyards on the Fleurieu Peninsula extend south of Adelaide, including McLaren Vale, Adelaide Hills and the Southern Fleurieu Peninsula.
A lovely example of Mount Barker Cabernet Sauvignon with varietal expression and a palate that goes on and on.
This Shiraz, Mataro and Grenache blend showcases the three best suited varieties to our region. A slightly different take on the classic Rhone blend.
A hand-crafted, lunchtime appropriate red wine created with a light touch for a clear head; a light-medium bodied, lower alcohol, fragrant and textural Springtime red blend perfect for summer and the party & holiday season.
