”A Blewitt Springs site, planted in 1999. The name is derived from a rare type of rose named after a beauty of ancient China, planted at the site. Oh dear! Thankfully, the wine is good. Very good, in that salubrious theatre of manicured tannins, preened oak and plucked fruit. An unashamed behemoth, boasting power and precision. Admirably, the regional chord of maritime salinity and black olive-doused tannins is palpable. The varietal persona of verdant herb and currant, forceful. The finish, convincing.”
