Outstanding value for money Shiraz from the elevated Blewitt Springs subdistrict of McLaren Vale. Using fruit from two vineyards grown on deep Maslin sand over ironstone clay, this wine was fermented using wild yeast and 25% whole bunches. There are plenty of flavour here, delicious mouth filling fruit with fine savory, sandy tannins to finish.
Juicy, dark and blue fruits, savoury earthy hints, bright acidity and fine tannins in support

”A sumptuous shiraz made in a restrained style. This dichotomy alone infers intrigue and complexity. 20% whole bunch, wild ferment (as is standard at this address) and largely neutral wood. Sensible. Blueberry, lilac florals, iodine, salumi, tapenade and a skein of peppery acidity punctuate a plush finish. Delicious drinking.”
