The Governor is a cheeky homage to Austria’s most famous “Govenator”, Arnold Schwarzenegger. The artwork for the Magnums was designed by the illustrator, Manfred Deix, who provoked, shocked and shook up social taboos as rarely an Austrian artist had done before him. THE GOVERNOR originates from the small vineyard Finniss River on Fleurieu Peninsula. Nearby there is the ice-cold Southern Ocean which cools down the climate. But as the vineyard is 7km away from the coast it avoids the salty sea breeze.
