”The Tasmanian equivalent of Cru Beaujolais. Super close-planted vines, 100% destemmed whole berries, natural ferment. All detail and space, dappled light filtering in and highlighting fruit and place. Smoky charcuterie notes roll in, melding with wildflower, mountain herbs, exotic spice, crushed rock and pressed flowers. Savoury and stony pure with impressive drive, flow and palate presence, finishing with clarity and a sense there is something special going on with this little patch of gamay. Vaughan would definitely approve. It's a beauty.”
