Penfolds Bin 707 Cabernet Sauvignon 2022 (Gift Box)

Bin 707 is a perfect Cabernet Sauvignon representation of Penfolds House Style: intensely flavoured fruit; completion of fermentation and maturation in new oak; expressing a Penfolds understanding of multi-vineyard, multi-region fruit sourcing. Bin 707 was first vintaged in 1964. The wine was not made from 1970 to 1975 (when fruit was directed to other wines) nor in 1981, 1995, 2000, 2003, 2011, 2017 or 2020 (when fruit of the required style and quality was not available). Full-bodied and with proven cellaring potential, Bin 707 retains a secure place among the ranks of Australia’s finest Cabernets.

Peter Lehmann Mentor Cabernet 2021

The Masters wines are named after a person whom, or event that, has played an intrinsic role in the Peter Lehmann story. Crafted from the classic Barossa varieties, the wines are released with five years of bottle age and will continue to age gracefully for many years. Founder, Peter Lehmann, mentored countless people over his fifty year career and this wine is named in his honour.

Penfolds Bin 407 Cabernet 2020 MAGNUM (Gift Box)

Launched with the 1990 vintage in 1993, Bin 407 was developed in response to the increasing availability of high-quality cabernet sauvignon fruit. Inspired by Bin 707, Bin 407 offers varietal definition and approachability, yet still with structure and depth of flavour. Textbook cabernet sauvignon, the varietally expressive Bin 407 highlights the rewards of Penfolds multi-region, multi vineyard blending, with a core of ripe fruit supported by sensitive use of French and American oak.

Grosset Gaia Cabernets 2022

Grosset Gaia from the cooler 2022 vintage shows impressive generosity and balance – the hallmarks of this wine for more than three decades. It has positive aromatics, gentle at first, then assertive; there are all the vibrant briary, brambly notes that you would expect. There’s a brooding quality about the wine that demands close inspection. It is satiny smooth, tight and fine.

Penfolds Bin 389 Cabernet Shiraz 2022 (Nigo Gift Box)

Bin 389 was often referred to as ‘Baby Grange’, in part because components of the wine are matured in the same barrels that held the previous vintage of Grange. First made in 1960 by the legendary Max Schubert, this was the wine that helped forge Penfolds reputation with red wine drinkers by combining the structure of cabernet sauvignon with the richness of shiraz. Exemplifying the judicious balance of fruit and oak, Bin 389 highlights the generous mid-palate Penfolds is known for.

Tim Adams Cabernet Malbec 2018

Dry-grown Cabernet and Malbec parcels were fermented to dryness for seven days before being pressed, with some of the pressings being returned to the free run wine to enhance texture and mouthfeel. A full-bodied wine with generous chalky tannins. Feel content cellaring our Cabernet Malbec for at least ten years in good conditions. This wine pairs well with lamb and other red meat dishes.

The 2022 Flametree SRS Cabernet Sauvignon is very lifted displaying berry fruits in the blackberry, cassis and mulberry spectrum, with dark coco chocolate undertones. The palate shows elegance, freshness and balanced fruit.

Houghton Gladstones Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

The Houghton Gladstones Cabernet Sauvignon honours renowned viticulturist and long-time supporter of Houghton, Dr John Gladstones. In 1965 John published a scientific paper identifying the suitability of the Margaret River region to produce premium wine grapes. His importance as a viticultural researcher was recognized in 2008 when he received the Maurice O’Shea award for outstanding contribution to the wine industry.

Bleasdale The Iron Duke Cabernet Sauvignon 2022

During the 1870s Imperial Russia was considered the British Empire’s most dangerous enemy. On the distant shores of South Australia, a very real (but quite unfounded) fear of invasion followed, and volunteers were rallied to keep the marauding Russians at bay. Frank Potts led the local army equipped with his trusty muzzle-loader ‘The Iron Duke’, named for the Duke of Wellington. This wine celebrates Frank’s community leadership.

Grant Burge Cameron Vale Cabernet 2022

Henschke Cyril Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

99% cabernet sauvignon and 1% merlot grown on the Cyril Henschke Vineyard on the Henschke Eden Valley property, managed with organic and biodynamic practices. Matured in 8% new and 92% seasoned French oak hogsheads for 18 months prior to blending and bottling. This wine carries the name of Stephen's father, fourth- generation Henschke winemaker, Cyril Henschke (1924-1979); a tribute to one of Australia's outstanding winemaking pioneers, who was renowned for old-vine, single-vineyard and quality varietal table wines. Cyril planted cabernet sauvignon at the Henschke Eden Valley property in the late 1960s. The cabernet sauvignon vines, along with cabernet franc and merlot, are planted on a north facing slope, and are managed with organic and biodynamic practices. First produced as a single-vineyard wine in 1978, Cyril Henschke Cabernet Sauvignon celebrates the incredible beauty that emerges from the vibrant rows of this Eden Valley vineyard, revered for its texture, depth, complexity and fine-grained tannins.

Credaro Kinship Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

 In 1922, the SS Omar sailed from Naples to Fremantle, reuniting Cesar Credaro with his brother, Olympio. Leaving behind post war Italy, they pioneered new lives farming the lands of South Western Australia. Enjoy with your own siblings, brother from another mother or sister from another mister and appreciate the bonds you share. A fine and elegant palate showing flavours of dark cherry, blackcurrant and vanilla, with good length of flavour and ripe tannins. Hints of florals and dried herbs linger through the finish.
