Bleasdale Tempranillo 2022

Bleasdale has played around with Tempranillo on and off for the past 16 years, useful in fortified wine blending, Tempranillo also makes delicious table wines. The 2022 vintage presented an opportunity to make a youthful and juicy red and so when we were offered a small parcel of grapes we leapt at the chance.

Bleasdale Grenache 2022

Bleasdale has grown Grenache for use in fortified and table wine blends for decades. The 2021 vintage presented an excellent opportunity for a varietal Grenache, with some delicious vibrant fruit. This wine has been made with minimal yet attentive winemaking, and is bottled with low sulphites for early consumption, a versatile wine for all seasons.

The majestic red gums that surround Bleasdale are at the core of our remarkable history. When Frank Potts settled the land in the 1850s, he used the timber from these big, beautiful trees to build our winery. Our vineyards benefit from the rich, clay soils that also support these gums, giving generosity and longevity to our wines. Bleasdale Bremerview Shiraz 2021

A true expression of Langhorne Creek Shiraz, this is a medium bodied wine showing intense lifted spice aromas and dark berry fruit. The palate is long and silky with fine tannins, offering juicy plum and blackberry fruits, with notes of clove and pepper.

Bleasdale The Powder Monkey Shiraz 2021

A single vineyard wine from our very best Shiraz vineyard, located behind the cellars. The block is planted to three clones and pruned to various methods to enhance the layers and complexity of the resultant wine. An agile viticultural strategy to thrive in drought or flood.

Bleasdale Wild Fig Shiraz Grenache Mourvedre 2021

Shiraz and Grenache were originally grown in Langhorne Creek for fortified winemaking but are proving to be excellent for table wine. Nurtured from small parcels into a vibrant, delicious drink.

Bleasdale Generations Shiraz 2020

Shiraz was the first red grape variety planted in Langhorne Creek at Bleasdale in 1858. Drinking well now, but with the potential to be a long term cellaring prospect if desired. After a period of cellaring, it is normal for some sediment to form. Decanting one hour before drinking is recommended.

Bleasdale Wellington Road Shiraz Cabernet 2020

Blended from some of the best parcels of Shiraz and Cabernet from the 2019 harvest. This wine shows an abundance of black fruits - blackberry, blackcurrant and plum with a well balanced, medium-bodied palate. The tannins and oak contribute to the structure and length of this traditional Langhorne Creek blend.

Bleasdale Syrah 2021

Handpicked from some of our oldest estate vines, this Syrah has been fermented with 20% whole bunches before pressing to French Oak puncheons for 9 months maturation.

Bleasdale Adelaide Hills Chardonnay 2022

The Adelaide Hills is known for its ability to produce outstanding cool climate Chardonnay grapes. Clonal selection and site diversity within the Hills offer complexity and character. The Chardonnay fruit is handpicked directly into a refrigerated container, chilled all day and during transport. The fruit is then delivered to the historic Bleasdale cellars at dusk for whole bunch pressing in the cool of the evening.

Bleasdale Mulberry Tree Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

With deep alluvial floodplains and the maritime influence of Lake Alexandrina, Langhorne Creek is home to some of Australia’s best soils and growing conditions. Frank Potts realised this when he established Bleasdale in 1850. The iconic Mulberry Tree vineyard, named after the ancient tree that grows adjacent to the vineyard on the banks of the Bremer River, consistently produces fruit of exceptional quality.

Bleasdale Second Innings Malbec 2021

Bleasdale’s founder Frank Potts, bequeathed the majority of his business to his sixth son, Frank Potts II. Frank Potts II played an important role in Bleasdale’s history, being responsible for building its famed red gum press. The Second Innings Malbec label depicts Frank Potts II taking part in a family game of cricket on the Bleasdale property.
