There are leafy berry aromas are to the fore, due to the wine being majority cabernet sauvignon. A lovely mid-depth colour with youthful tints. Ripe cabernet fruit complimented by the spice and plushness of the shiraz component. Fine long tannins and acid line will see this age well over the medium term. A lovely drinking wine as always.

Wynns Michael Shiraz 2021

Michael Shiraz is Wynns Coonawarra Estate’s best-of-vintage shiraz. Named after David Wynn’s young son, the fruit used for this wine comes from the best vineyard sites in Coonawarra and is only made in years when the best quality fruit is available. The wine is a legend of the Australian wine story with good examples of the 1955 Michael offering an outstanding experience.

Tahbilk Grenache Shiraz Mourvedre 2023

From estate shiraz vines that date back to Tahbilk’s founding in 1860, to more recent plantings of grenache and mourvèdre, we have an enduring history with these three varieties. Notwithstanding the most challenging of years, including a 1 in 100 year flood event, releases from 2023 shine with wonderful depth of flavour and character. An appealing savoury, fleshy and multi-layered blend, offering dark berry and plum fruits, some spicy, gamey notes and finely textured tannins.

Four Pillars Spiced Negroni Gin 700ml

Four Pillars Spiced Negroni Gin is a highly aromatic, rich and (yes) spicy gin with great power and intensity.

This gin was originally the result of a conversation between Cameron (Four Pillars distiller) and Jason (one of the World’s Top Ten Bartenders) back in 2014 - they wanted to create a gin specifically for the Negroni.

Something to cut through Campari and vermouth. And while Negroni has always been a favourite at Four Pillars, Cameron jumped at the chance to make the first collaboration in their Bartender Series a tribute to the very definition of a perfectly balanced cocktail. First, they took base botanicals and upped the amount of Tasmanian pepperberry leaf and cinnamon. Then they added an exotic West African spice called Grains of Paradise.

This is one of the most unusual spices in the world, with clove and sichuan characters.  But although very powerful, the spice tends to glow rather than become hot. The Four Pillars team also decided to use beautiful organic blood oranges in the botanical basket, as well as some ginger.  These wonderfully fragrant fresh botanicals help lift the spice to another level. 

Yalumba The Octavius Shiraz 2018

A flagship shiraz born of treasured, old vines dating back to 1854, these are some of the oldest shiraz plantings in the world. Matured in Yalumba coopered oak octaves; the inspiration behind the name of this fine, Barossa wine.

Seppelt Show Sparkling Shiraz 2008

The Seppelt Show Sparkling Shiraz 2008 features aromatics of fragrant blackberry fruit with complex spicy, meaty notes and a hint of cigar box. The palate is fine and long, and offers flavours of rich mulberry fruit combined with black olive tapenade and charcuterie, finishing with rich, dark chocolatey tannins and delicately balanced sweetness.

This mini bottle is served on Qantas flights, it's perfect for picnics, parties, travel and for those times you only feel like one glass. Angove are a family-owned South Australian winery, producing elegant wines reflecting their unique terroir. This wine shows stone fruit and melon, complemented by a subtle toasty oak character, leading to a palate filled with tropical fruit flavours and a lingering, soft finish.

Proudly, a wine style that hasn’t succumbed to the dictates of fashion or commerce. St Henri is rich and plush when young, gaining soft, earthy, mocha-like characters with age.

Dandelion Red Queen of Eden Valley Shiraz 2019

Our Winemaker Elena Brooks crowned Colin Kroehn's Eden Valley Shiraz vineyard as our Red Queen. Its age, altitude, aspect and slopes are the key. Colin tended his beloved Shiraz vines for most of his life's 90 years and our Red Queen is made entirely of his vineyard. Planted in 1912, on a south facing slope of limestone bed rock covered with loamy sands absolutely laden with quartzite, the vineyard survives to this day. The rocky outcrops of quartz are spectacularly coloured with ironstone streaks, and sit over a c.1600 million year old Barossa Complex basement of gneiss and schist. On March 31st whole bunches of flavour ripe Shiraz were hand harvested, then we gently crushed two thirds of the grapes over a third of whole bunch fruit and naturally fermented in open fermenters for eleven days, hand plunged three times a day, before careful basket pressing into half new and half one year old French Oak Barriques to finish fermentation.  After two and a half years maturation and a racking in the same oak, we bottled this eleventh vintage of Red Queen without filtration or fining, to capture the essence of the vineyard. Dandelion Vineyard’s Red Queen will reward cellaring and decanting. Thank you Mr. Kroehn for this legacy.

The Footbolt Shiraz 2021 offers aromas of mulberries and blackberries, that unmistakable smell of Darrel Lee liquorice. Generously rich with amazing fruit weight and balanced, chewy tannins. Brimming with ripe red fruits and an underlying layer of subtle oak, as well as a hint of pepper.

d'Arenberg The Custodian Grenache 2021

During the vine pull scheme in the 80’s, d’Arry Osborn refused to remove his old grenache vineyards. Today d’Arenberg is the keeper of nearly one third of McLaren Vale’s old bush vine grenache, earning the title of ‘Custodian’ of the variety.
