Bright purple. Deep English red rose petals aromas with light caramel, scorched peanuts, fennel flesh, mocha, green peppercorns, purple berries and mossy earth. Spiced, upright and uptight. Tight plentiful grainy tannins fighting for space with bright acidity. High tuned and toned, the wine wants to cut and thrust. Focused and on point with a long tail and tannin that grumbles and grizzles. Very fine.

The vineyard was planted in 2011 and is own-rooted, the clone is FP501. The vineyard has been run organically since late mid-2017. After nine days on skins the open fermenter was basket pressed and transferred into a single new French oak hogshead with the balance to one to four year old French oak hogsheads to undergo malolactic fermentation.
