Shaw and Smith Balhannah Vineyard Shiraz 2021

From close-planted low yielding vines from block two at Shaw + Smith’s Balhannah Vineyard, planted in 2005. A complex, finely-textured shiraz expressing the conditions of each vintage and the character of a unique vineyard site.

Hatch Wines McLaren Vale Vesey Shiraz 2022

Chris “Hatch” Hatcher was a highly awarded corporate winemaker for almost 50 years and then in November 2023 released his own wines under the HATCH label. In 2022 McLaren Vale, one of Australia’s best regions for shiraz, produced fruit with great depth and richness. Several vineyards were used to make this wine, so Hatch named it after his great-grandfather, Alf Vesey who made wine at the Penfolds Magill winery for 69 years starting in 1883. He was the Master Winemaker for 47 of those years and famously mentored Max Schubert, the creator of Grange, on winemaking and the art of blending. The palate is plush, opulent and velvety. 

Hatch Wines Barossa St Johns Shiraz 2022

Chris “Hatch” Hatcher was a highly awarded corporate winemaker for almost 50 years and then in November 2023 released his own wines under the HATCH label. St Johns is one of the highest regions in the Barossa Valley. It borders the sub-regions of Ebenezer, Koonunga and Moppa. In 2022 it produced intense and concentrated shiraz with great aromatics of plum and dark cherry, the tannins are plush and balanced with seductive oak.

Grant Burge Hillcot Merlot 2022

Grant Burge is a pioneer of Merlot in the Barossa Valley. The soft, supple palate has concentrated flavours of red berries, with soft ripe tannins that add balance to the oak and fruit sweetness. This medium-bodied wine is ready to enjoy now, or can be cellared for 7 to 12 years.

St Hallett Black Clay Shiraz 2024

Over the years, St Hallett's winemakers have frequently identified the black clay soil vineyards in a blind line up. This prevailing sense of place has inspired them to release a wine make entirely from fruit grown in this unique soil type.
