Archie Rose Virgin Cane Spirit Rhum Agricole 700ml 50%

Limited edition A true reflection of early, unprocessed, unrefined rhum. Using locally grown sugarcane, it is cut and pressed into fresh juice within 12 hours.

Archie Rose selected yeast strains are added immediately to kick off fermentation and the juice is transported to the distillery, already fermenting, overnight. The fermented wash is then triple distilled in our handmade copper pot stills, producing a characterful and rich spirit.

An enticing mix of primary fruit characters entwined with flowers, ginger and stone fruit. Another impeccably good offering from Chester Osborne combining rich and voluptuous McLaren Vale Shiraz with lifted fragrant Viognier. d'Arenberg is one of the pioneers of this style, the 'Magpie' continues to go from strength to strength.

The Balvenie 14 Year Old American Bourbon Barrel Single Malt Scotch Whisky is the latest limited-edition Stories release.  The whisky has a subtle smoky flavour, picked up from being distilled straight after peat week. The barley is not peated at all. This collection tells the story of the collaboration between Kelsey McKechnie, Malt Master and George Paterson, Samples Coordinator that uses some of our rarest and most interesting whisky at the distillery.

Mars Iwai Tradition Japanese Whisky is soft and rounded, yet full bodied and mellow.Mars Shinshu distillery is located high in the Japanese Alps in Nagano Prefecture at around 800m above sea level. Next door, there is beer brewery called Minami Shinshu Brewery. Pure mineral water from the mountain is used for both whisky and craft beer making and both facilities are surrounded with beautiful clean air. Short hot summers encourage whisky maturation, and long cold winter gives whisky slow and gentle maturation as well as a break.

After 3 years aging in traditional oak barrels, this selected single malt whisky is then further matured in casks used in the production of India Pale Ale to provide a subtle and give unique essence of beer character.

John Duval Plexus Shiraz Grenache Mourvedre 2022

The 2022 vintage marks the 20th release of the Plexus Shiraz Grenache Mourvèdre. The ethos behind Plexus has not wavered: expressing a wide spectrum of fruit flavours from the three classic Barossa varieties. Shiraz provides rich, dark fruits and mid-palate weight, grenache brings brightness of red fruits and spice while mourvedre delivers a firm backbone, savoury tannin and length.  A benchmark example of its style, Plexus has twice been included in Wine Spectator’s Top 100 Wines of the world, and is also included in Langton’s Classification of Australian Wine, one of only 100 wines selected.

Leogate Malabar Reserve Shiraz 2019

The Malabar Shiraz is produced from an isolated parcel of fruit selected from Leogate Estates, 55 year old, Brokenback Vineyard and produced in very limited quantities from low yielding, dry grown vines. The 2019 vintage received 95 points in the James Halliday Wine Companion and is currently served on Qantas First Class.

Our neighbouring harbour village of Portsoy inspires the deep maritime flavour of this richly peated single malt, matured in sherry, bourbon and port casks. A celebration of Portsoy, a harbour village shaped by the coast with a deep maritime history to the east of the distillery. Using high levels of peat to create our only richly smoked single malt with charred coastal character. Nose: Rich maritime waves infused with tropical fruit and sherried dark soy, rolling into port with liquorice and sea kelp.

Wirra Wirra The Absconder Grenache 2022

Absconder Grenache is made from a vineyard planted in the time of Wirra Wirra’s founder Robert Strangways Wigley. Wigley was an eccentric whose lust for life had at times seen him fall foul of the law in his home town. In fact, one episode involving the ‘acquisition’ of the famous Adelaide pie-cart and a joy ride through the city streets was the catalyst for banishment to McLaren Vale. However Wigley did not abscond into the wilderness. He became known for his world class wines - including fortifieds made with the grenache of the day - and helped to build the reputation of McLaren Vale.

Munda Wines is majority Indigenous owned and tells stories from Country through its fine wines. Munda is the Wirangu & Kokatha word for land or country, or our depiction of the French term 'terroir.' Kaurna Country, also known as McLaren Vale, from the sub-region of Blewitt Springs prized for its deep, sandy soils which gives a grippiness to the Syrah and a fine texture. Partially de-stemmed with 10% whole bunch with the remaining fruit retained whole with wild yeast fermentation. Cellared for 16 months in 2nd & 3rd use French Oak puncheons. Medium to full bodied, blueberry, plum and layers of spice.
