Forest Hill Estate Mt Barker Vineyard Shiraz 2022

JCs Own Greenock Shiraz 2019

JC’s Own winemaker Jaysen Collins cut his winemaking teeth in the heavy red soils of the north west of the Barossa, where Greenock is the jewel of the crown in his opinion. 
A few vintages ago he came across a vineyard just on the north of the Greenock township that hides behind some big gum trees. It runs down a small hill facing east, with lean soils, cooler afternoons, tiny yields, small berries.
Jaysen likes shiraz that is big on fruit intensity but is more supple and svelte on the palate, powerful yet velvety, structured but sensual.
So, this is a rare single site treat from his part of the world and a true connection to Jaysen’s beginnings in making wine.

Hatch Wines Clare Valley Watervale Riesling 2023

Chris “Hatch” Hatcher was a highly awarded corporate winemaker for almost 50 years and then in November 2023 released his own wines under the HATCH label. Watervale, a sub-region of Clare Valley is one of the Australia’s classic regions for Riesling. At 390-400metres above sea level the high altitude and cooling breezes from Gulf St Vincent gives a long ripening period that is essential for making high quality Riesling. Vintage 2023 produced riesling fruit with great depth of flavour and wonderful natural acidity. The palate has powerful fruit intensity and finesse with fine acidity that is delicious now but will reward with medium to long-term cellaring. Enjoy with fresh oysters, prawns, seared scallops, salt and pepper squid and delicate Asian dishes or simply with your friends on a wonderful summer’s day.

Alkina Striato Shiraz 2022

Striato (formerly known as ‘Spice Garden’) refers to striations, or long narrow abrasions on rock, created by the movement of a glacier. It reminds us of the 600+ million year old geological history of this land. A savoury, medium weight Shiraz with layers of flavour and amazing depth. Soaring aromas of red and blue fruit overlaid with Asian spice and graphite. The palate is impressively balanced between elegant fruit texture and the cool tannin of Shiraz grown on limestone.

Koomilya DC Shiraz 2018

A single block of wine from an old vineyard in an ancient landscape. The wine features dark fruit, cherry, loganberry and black currant aromas, followed by red dust, dark caramel and the Australian bush. The palate showcases an elegant tap dance of tannins and a voluptuous and velvety finish.

SC Pannell Smart Grenache 2022

The Smart vineyard is owned by Bernie Smart and his son Wayne. It is the highest Grenache vineyard in McLaren Vale with soils up to 750 million years old. Unirrigated bush vines, managed by hand; we owe Bernie and Wayne a debt of gratitude for preserving this precious place.

Certified organic in 2010, the Carypidis Family Vineyard at Angle Vale has produced high quality pinot grigio for Yalumba for more than eleven years.  Meticulous work in the vineyard ensures that the grapes are in perfect condition when they are picked.
